Sparre Lifespan has produced a series of books in collaboration with various pharmaceutical companies and societies. These books are aimed at the general public and provide the reader with basic information about a wide range of medical subjects, presented in a down-to-earth and accessible manner by renowned medical experts. The books are richly illustrated in colour.

Q-Med Training Manuals:
The three training manuals are aimed at sales representatives. The binders contain information about the company and all the medical facts about the indications and their treatment that they will need when communicating with physicians. Two chapters concentrate on Q-Med's products for the treatment of the disease. Illustrations, tables, scanning electron micrographs and in-body images support the concise, yet accessible text. Study questions are provided at the end of each chapter.

The Overactive Bladder - A Widespread and Treatable Condition (Pharmacia & Upjohn)
The book provides a summary of what is known about this common condition and its management. It contains many scanning electron micrographs and in-body photographs of the urinary tract. The target audience is primary care physicians.

Images of depression (Pfizer)
The book presents a brief historical overview of the treatment of psychiatric disorders, but concentrates on recent findings about depression and its treatment. The lavish coffee-table book is richly illustrated with computer-generated illustrations, PET scans, light microscopic images and works of art by famous artists.

Patient education material (Lever Fabergé/Pepsodent)
"The battle of the tooth" is a spiral-bound book, richly illustrated with scanning electron micrographs and pictures outlining the importance of dental hygiene. The book is the basis of an extensive series of educational material about dental health for patients of all ages.

The Living Bone (Merck, Sharp and Dohme)
Bone is a dynamic tissue that is constantly being broken-down and rebuilt. In osteoporosis, this balance has been disrupted and destruction of bone predominates. The book is aimed at primary care physicians and contains unique images, including scanning electron micrographs, which describe the development of osteoporosis and how the destruction of the skeleton may be inhibited and normalised. On the cover there is a three-dimensional image to be viewed using red/green glasses (provided with the book).
